The Meat and Potatoes

The Florida Archives - August 2021

Our First Devised Project

The Florida Archives is a devised theatre project unlike any theatrical event ever created. It is a living, breathing database of stories of those who live in Florida, or have lived in Florida. The purpose is to gain understanding of those around us and attempt to heal division in such a polarized state. The first iteration was performed at The Five and Dime's Short Attention Span Festival in August of 2021.

The Florida Archives - June 2022

Collaborating with MOSHJax

After the successful run of The Florida Archives at The Short Attention Span Festival, Basecamp started conversations with Jacksonville's Museum of Science and History on what a collaboration might look like. After a multiple day ON-SITE story collection, Basecamp devised multiple short plays for a one-night only performance celebrating Jacksonville's Bicentennial.
